Addsfit Percussive Massge Gun Review

Massage guns have quickly become popular ways to recover from muscle stiffness from workouts.  It mimics the touch of a massage therapist- without the price tag.  I’m writing this smack in the middle of the Corona pandemic- and for the immune-compromised- massage therapy may just not be a good idea.

The same way you would foam roll to relive tension- a handle massage gun will break up scar tissue and help you recover from your intense workouts.

Here are the benefits of using one:

Performance and Recovery

Percussive massage guns increase cause muscles to contract more powerfully- which leads to better muscle and fascia strength and length according to studies.  When muscles can contract better- it actually means then can relax better- which leads to less tightness and stress on your bones ands joints

Soreness & Spasm Relief

When you work out hard- your body builds up lactic acid.  It leaves you feeling tired and sore.  The massage gun helps your body to release it by bringing blood and oxygen to those areas.  Oxygen is needed to rid your body of toxic lactic acid.  The addsfit will apply pressure and vibrations to your muscles and get them to relax and reduce any spasms as well

Pain relief & Healing

I wasn’t kidding when I said good vibes!  The massage gun delivers vibrations into your muscles, fascia, and tissues which stimulate blood and lymph node circulation.  This helps bring more oxygen and nutrients into your muscles. You get a speedier recovery, better range of motion, pain relief, and muscle fatigue and soreness relief. My pains in the neck, shoulders, and lower back were all relieved after just one use with the add fit gun.

Rehab

Are you injured and cannot work out? Foam rolling may be out for you then but the regular use of a massage can help promote healing in atrophic muscles, whether they are atrophic due to injury, surgery, or disease.  You can always use a lighter setting as well

Increased Range Of Motion

If you’re looking for more flexibility- the addsfit massage gun can work to relieve any tension in your muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia tissue.   All of these need to lengthen harmoniously in order to unlock and enhance your movement patterns- making movements like splits deep squats and handstands easier to achieve.

Now I prefer to use mine post-workout but you may also use your massage gun before

The big factor is the massage head.

The addsfit comes with 5 different heads and I’ll break down what each is for.

We’ll be starting with the softest head and leading up to the harder ones
