5 Ways To Stay Motivated to Work Out

What's holding you back on your fitness path?

Do you struggle to actually wake up for your pilates workout?

Does something just always seem to come up last minute and prevent you from hitting that awesome fitness class you love?

Are your travel plans interfering with your goals?

Here are my five favorite tips to stay motivated on your fitness journey.

1.  Have a vision or a plan.

Write it down.

Read it every day.

The main difference between a vision and goals- 'Goals' are specific.   A 'Vision' is a look into the future. It's a long view of what your life can look like. Goals imply a plan or action….vision are dreams and desires for your future.. Both are necessary to get you there.

2.  Set goals

To get closer to our vision we must break it down into small achievable steps.

Remember to use the S.M.A.R.T. system...  In order for goals to be realistic they must be Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Realistic and Timebound.   This method is used in both the business and fitness world.

3. Find a support system. This can be friends, co workers, neighbors, online groups ETC.

People that will cheer you on.  Instagram has many #communities and facebook pages that are free and can over support.

Feel free to join my group here, full launch will be in September but join now and ill notify you when the community discussions begin!

4. Make the Time.

Use calendars and alarms as reminders. Utilize the calendar feature on your smartphone to plan your workout days and times.

Schedule days to visit the farmer's market for fresh fruit and vegetables.

Align your schedule with your goals.

We all have the same hours in a day...  choose carefully.

5.  Learn the Power of NO

In order to prioritize the things you need to do, to get to the place you want to be, we must make choices.

If it's not in alignment with your goals and or it does not bring you joy do you really need it occupying your time

What habits of yours can use replacing?  How can you replace them with better habits that serve you and your goals?

Here is one final thought... Its NOT willpower. It's the WILL to make your dreams come true.

Follow your vision and remember to set goals to reach those dreams.  Think about where you want to be in one year from now.  Get on a clear path.
