4 Quick & Easy Workout Hairdos

When you have long hair and workout a lot you probably want it outta ya face.

It’s easy to tie it back into a simple ponytail eeevveerryyday. But If you wanna look cute while you sweat and add a bit of variety, read on.

I’m very guilty of just throwing in a side pony for days.

But I know that braids really keep the side wisps away on both sides! High ponies and buns let me focus on my workout instead of the frizz developing on my crown.

I asked my favorite colorist and hair stylist, Jonathan Vining for his expert opinion

Double French Braids

If you’re new to braiding -practice makes perfect.- just like Pilates!

I do a mean Dutch braid -French Is a bit tricker for me. 

  1. Divide hair into two ponies

  2. Create three sections and weave the outside strands OVER the middle. ((Dutch is under))

  3. Braid till the end and tie off.

Braid Loop

Keep it off your neck with this look…

  1. Make a mid height pony. 

  2. Secure and braid it and secure the braid

  3. Loop it tie it and pin in place.

French Pony

The trick here is to start high 

  1. Divide hair into three equal sections & weave

  2. Stop at the nape of your neck.

  3. Tie up

High Bun Braid

  1. Make a high ponytail

  2. Braid it & secure

  3. Wrap & pin into place
