How to Stretch Your Hamstrings

Finally Open The Back of Your Thighs

I tried everything to loosen up my hamstrings…..

Yoga.  Pilates.  All sorts of 30 Day Stretchy Plans on the web.

Nothing Worked….Until I found FRC

Invented by Dr Andreo Spina- this joint focused method of training is the ONLY thing that has given me the mobility in the back of my thighs to get even close to splits

This system was developed with science in mind.

As much as I love yoga- it was really developed for meditation.  Pilates has done wonders for my core and control but it just hasn’t tackled my tight back end.

In FRC we focus on flexibility and mobility.

Flexibility is the ability to passively achieve an extended range of motion (a girl on instagram holding a yoga pose) vs. Mobility being the ability to control ranges of motion (think Prince getting into and out of a split while playing guitar)

With FRC we expand our usable range of motion with tension and isometrics.

This will develop strength around our flexibility- which will help prevent injuries and give us the ability to perform more dynamic movements

Our muscles and joints are designed to not rip- and our nervous system tenses to keep it together.

This is necessary- otherwise we’d be constantly falling or ripping our ligaments.  Our modern day life can cause too much stimulation via sitting or overuse from exercise

First we focus on each joint ‘s function.

Then we look to open up its capacity and range. We’ll use our own bodyweight and breath to control our nervous system and stop holding this unneeded tension.

And hamstring range of motion is essential to splits…

this is what Have been doing to give me the mobility to get into and out of some cool poses- without and pain.

In todays workout we’ll go through CARS (which I did a few weeks ago as Cat Woman ) then a static hold stretch, PAILS and RAILS, ( Progressive & Regressive Angular Isometric Loading ) lifts and extensions- which are all part of the FRC system

I’ll be including some FRC next month in my #HalloweenFITFun series, I can’t believe its year 3!

If you want to hear about it FIRST- grab a copy of my e-book below and I’ll add you to my e-mail list and you’ll know when I premiere each new character and workout
