Do your sweat sessions leave you feeling drab?

Are your yoga times leaving you yawning?

According to science, one sure way to keep your body fit and healthy is to workout.

However, more often than not, you may find yourself getting bored by the repeated workouts, motions and classes you undertake.

Don’t fret my pet!

Fortunately, by implementing minor tweaks, you can make your workout routine anything but a routine.

The following ideas are suggestions you can use to bring back the fun into your Pilates, Yoga Strength or HIIT times

Join a live class (in person or virtual)

When you work out alone all the time, it gets boring and may even make excuses not to exercise.

On the other hand, working out in a group will encourage you to work out more often. You get to engage in fun conversations when you workout with friends and get to make new ones by joining a virtual class. Therefore, try this as it can bring back the social aspect in your workout sessions. Check out my Instagram as I go live often.

Setting goals

When you set goals for working out, it creates a sense of urgency and gives you a reason to hit the mat.

To make things more enjoyable, consider rewarding yourself after accomplishing every set goal. For example, you can give yourself a fancy meal as a reward or even take photos and post them on the gram so that others can celebrate with you. You can also consider treating yourself by putting some money aside for a new outfit or towards a vacation. Repeated activities can mentally make workout sessions tedious. Have you considered trying out new free challenges?

Wear bright and fun outfits

It’s not secret that I love all the colors and cosplay.

But did you know that neon colors are stimulating and energetic? Red is associated with heart rate and breathing so try throwing it on before a cardio workout. Neon green and blue are also energetic. Green is associated with refreshing and healing. Blue is known to help with focus. However they do say yellow can be over stimulating. Try nixing basic black and try a pop of color with some new workout clothes here

Find your groove

Music can be a big part about getting into the right headspace for your workouts.

You can do that by playing that particular song that you just LOVE. Also, create a playlist consisting of songs that motivate you, make you feel healthy, powerful, and capable. Dancing to music is considered a form of exercise as you tend to gain strength, flexibility, raise your heart rate and build endurance when you lose yourself in the beat! Check out the bottom of this page to sign up for my playlist page:)

Comfortable location

Locations are so key to finding the right vibe for workouts

Think of your favourite park or childhood playground. You’re more relaxed and pumped up about your workout sessions there. You’ll get more motivated and want to perform better when you’re in a place you enjoy.

So for winter when you’re indoors review your home workout space.- Try to pick a spot that’s filled with light or your hang your favorite artwork. Stock up with the best fitness and Pilates props and keep your workout area clutter free. Keep your gear clean and sanitized, wiping it down after each use. And remember that certain things need to be replaced after awhile, yoga mats can lose their bounce after a few years and your spine needs cushioning if you’re doing Pilates on it. Check out these quality yoga mats tso you’ll be safe and comfortable.
